The Stridsland Barnacle Fork is the ultimate retro MTB conversion fork, carefully crafted for 80s and 90s 26″ mountain bikes. Whether you're replacing the original rigid fork or upgrading from a short travel suspension fork (max 80mm), this fork is designed to bring your classic bike back to life with a modern touch. It’s also perfect for most cross, hybrid, gravel, and ATB bikes.

Product Features:

• Axle to Crown Measurement: 400mm, ensuring the perfect fit for bikes with a 70-73 degree head angle. A critical design element to avoid compromising bike handling and performance.

• Offset: 43mm, similar to the geometry of many retro MTB forks, resulting in a smooth and stable ride with the ideal trail number.

• Steerer Tube Length: 300mm, offering plenty of length for most frames, even those with headtubes over 200mm.

• Mounts: Includes all the necessary mounts for racks, making your bike camping-ready. After extensive R&D, the Barnacle Fork fits virtually every rack available.

• Tire Clearance: Fits tires up to 26×3″, 27.5×2.6″, or 700x48mm, giving you versatility for different types of rides and terrains.

• Durability: ED coated for internal rust protection, and finished with a resilient gloss black powder coat to withstand the elements and keep your ride looking sharp.

Versions Available:

• 1″ threadless QR (9×100) with disc and canti studs (ETRTO 559 / 26″).
• 1-1/8″ threadless QR (9×100) with disc and canti studs (ETRTO 559 / 26″).
• 1-1/8″ threadless Thru Axle (15×100) with disc only.

Additional Specs:

• Crown Race Seat: ISO standard of 26.4mm for a 1″ headset.
• Hardware Included: 22 pieces of M5x12 black stainless T25 bolts.
• Axle: Included with the Thru Axle version.
• Brake Studs: Removable M10 x P1.25 brake studs included with the QR version.

Compatibility: For a 1″ headtube frame, consider pairing with a 1″ headset, spacers, and a stem shim. Alternatively, tap some threads onto the steerer to use a quill stem.
