Collection: Forager Cycles

Forager Cycles began with a notebook full of “why doesn’t this exist?” ideas scribbled down by founder Dan Stranahan while working as a bike mechanic in rural Alaska and heading out on long tours. The mission was simple: make small, useful things that make cycling easier and more enjoyable.

In 2020, Dan built the first Cable Cherry in a dirt-floored barn stall — no fancy machines, just persistence and a tiny metal part that worked. The first 1,000 pairs were made in Chicago and shipped from that 12x12 space. It was humble, a little chaotic, and very real.

After some manufacturing ups and downs, Forager brought production closer to home. Today, everything is made in-house at their machine shop in Port Townsend, Washington — machined, engraved, inspected, and packed by their small team.

Over 10,000 pairs later, the focus hasn’t changed: simple, versatile products, beautifully made, that quietly improve your bike and encourage you to head a little further down the road.
