Developed in collaboration with Blue Lug's Monthly Mountain Cycling Club, a crew that rides everything from local trails and bike parks to full ski resort courses, this handlebar was born out of one simple goal: make jumping and riding feel more natural. When the finished bar came out looking almost identical to the original Sync Bar, the name wrote itself — Sync Bar XL.
The rise angle sits slightly flatter than you might expect, tuned to complement the steeper head angles of modern MTBs and make lifting the front end effortless. A generous rise puts the rider in a naturally higher position regardless of frame size, while a strong upsweep through the grip area channels power all the way to the pinky. The backsweep brings the grips a touch closer to the body than a standard bar, improving control and comfort on technical terrain.
The smooth, gradual bends were developed with Nitto specifically to distribute stress evenly across the bar — no hard angles, no weak points. For seasoned MTB riders, the Sync XL has its own distinct character. For newer riders, it might just feel like suddenly growing wings.
Designed with MTB in mind, it works equally well on fixed gears, flat-bar gravel bikes, and anything in between.
