Team La Chouette

TWO WHEEL TECHNOLOGY SINCE 2015!

La Chouette started in 2015 as a bike café. You could grab an espresso, talk about old steel frames, and very possibly leave with a vintage bike you absolutely did not plan on buying. Back then, most of our days were split between coffee and bringing classic bikes back to life.

Over time, the bikes took over (no regrets). We said goodbye to the café and leaned fully into what we loved most — stocking the kind of brands we genuinely believe in and that weren’t easy to find in Europe. Think Rivendell, Crust, Blue Lug, Bassi, Wizard Works… and Ron’s Bikes (when the bike gods and inventory allow it 😉). We also work with brilliant European brands like Brother (UK), Pelago (Finland) and Omnium (Denmark).

Our team is a happy mix of French, American, English, Irish and Portuguese, which probably explains the slightly international, mildly chaotic, but very welcoming vibe in the shop. We like bikes that are fun, capable, practical, and sometimes a little bit weird. Racing isn’t really our lane — Paris has plenty of shops for that. We’re more into long rides, daily transport, snack logistics, and bikes that can actually carry things.

These days we focus mainly on custom builds — starting with a conversation and ending with a bike that feels completely yours. But yes, we absolutely still repair bikes. From small fixes to full overhauls, our workshop is very much alive and ready to get your ride rolling properly again.

We’re proud to work with smaller brands that respect and support independent bike shops like ours. Good people making good things — that’s the ecosystem we want to be part of.

We’ve also been growing our own little world: caps, t-shirts, bottles, straps and other bits, plus collaborations and even a cycling festival in the works. Stay tuned.

Our website launched a few years ago and it’s growing fast. We’re tweaking it, adding more stories, more products, more useful info — basically bringing the shop energy online.

Still independent. Still slightly obsessed with bikes. Still repairing them, too.
